Project Introduction
This project addresses the challenge of managing spatial information in Digital Twin (DT)–based metaverse environments. By integrating real-world spatial information with user behavioral data collected in virtual environments, we developed a framework for efficient spatial management and personalized user experiences.
Using a large-scale Minecraft testbed of Daejeon city, we collected more than 750,000 user logs and survey responses from 232 participants. Based on this dataset, we created methods for graph-based spatial importance analysis and applied Graph Neural Networks (GNNs) to detect communities and predict priority areas for spatial information maintenance.

Like the term Urban Assemblage, cities include creating local contexts through diverse networks and relationships created by human and non-human elements.The emergence of Urban Assemblage in early 2010 is changing the flow of urban research, emphasizing the importance of network understanding in cities. Therefore, this study aims to analyze the regional structure of Daejeon from the perspective of ‘visiting’ and ‘education’ through the understanding of residents in different contexts and environments. In addition, the local value is improved by solving the limitations of physical proximity through metaverse-based virtual proximity. Augmented proximity, a concept that unifies physical and virtual proximity, is important here. With the continuing increase in online communications, virtual proximity as well as physical proximity has become a common way to connect individuals. Virtual proximity refers to the psychological closeness felt by people based on their participation in a virtual space. Hence, augmenting physical proximity with virtual types is believed to enhance connectivity within social networks, and applications that consider both types have the capability to provide new forms of interaction. In the end, we plan to provide a metaverse-based solution that can actually help users along with SKT data analysis by applying the augmented proximity concept to cities.
